Linda Elksnin Art

Linda was selected  as the 2012 Poster Artist for Piccolo Spoleto. Her image, "Contrappunto," appeared on posters, programs, and other promotional materials for the festival. Piccolo Spoleto, founded by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs in 1979,  is an outreach arm of Spoleto Festival USA. Contrappunto

Contrappunto means one or more independent melodies added above or below a given melody. Contrappunto also is a metaphor for all of the art forms that combine to create a city-wide arts festival.
